In this short post, you’ll learn how to password protect a blog post on WordPress. Password protection on a blog post can be very useful if you want to create a post for exclusive readers on your website.
To create a password protected blog post, compose your post as normal. If you’re not on the classic editor make sure you toggle to the settings of the post on the editor window by click on the icon below or press CTRL+SHIFT+

On the settings section toggle to ‘Post’. under ‘Status’ click on draft (usually the option shown when composing) in the section that pops up scroll down and check ‘password protect’

set your desired password and publish the post. A reader will be prompted to insert a password before the post can be open for view.
