There are several reason why your PC speed is slow and one of the reason is large accumulation of temporary files (temp files). A temp file is a file created to hold information while a file’s being created or modified or while the program is still running. Sometimes temp files accumulate to thousands if not checked.
Let’s look at how to clear temp files on your windows PC.
On your PC, press Windows + R to enter to command prompt. inside the search box, type %temp% and click on OK. You can also navigate to the temp folder vai username > Appdata > Local > Temp
It will open the folders for temp files and sub folders.
Select all using CTRL + A and delete all files and folder using CTRL + D or right click and select delete. Note that you won’t be able to delete the programs or folders currently in use
