You can now control your Facebook settings on how your profile is suggested to people in the Facebook space. From your Facebook mobile app (application also on the web) tap on the profile icon to go to settings and privacy, scroll down and select ‘How people find and contact you’ under Audience and visibility.
In the next section, under ‘who can Facebook suggest your profile to based on phone number and email address? select your option for email and phone number suggestion and these options only apply to people who have your phone number or email. You can decide that Facebook shouldn’t suggest your profile to anyone.
