How to Set Vacation Auto-Responder in Gmail

This post will show you how to set auto-responder for vacation in Gmail in the case you’re on vacation any mail to your mailbox will get an automatic response of your absence.

To set vacation auto-responder, on your Gmail click on the settings icon, followed by ‘see all settings’ at the top right.

Under the general tab, scroll down to ‘Vacation responder’ from the description

Vacation responder ‘sends an automated reply to incoming messages. If a contact sends you several messages, this automated reply will be sent at most once every 4 days’

Select vacation responder to ‘on’. Select the first date and also the last date which is optional. Type in the subject and body of the message, you can also select ‘Only send a response to people in my Contacts’ if you want the message to be sent to people in your email contact list. Click on save changes when you are done.
